What is Dew?+
Dew is a responsible AI for children. It helps with maths, general knowledge, and creative writing, teaching with the Socratic method — guiding with questions rather than simply giving answers — so children build genuine understanding.
Is Dew safe for my child?+
Safety is built into Dew and always on. Dew keeps to learning topics and gently declines the rest, its own guardrails help keep conversations age-appropriate, and it responds with care if a child appears to be in distress — sharing a helpline and notifying you. Dew is not a counsellor or a substitute for professional help or adult supervision.
How do sign-in and consent work?+
A parent or guardian (18+) sets up and controls the account and provides consent for their child. The minimum age to create a child profile is 5. We confirm that the parent controls their email address when the account is created, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
What data do you collect?+
A parent's email; each child's first name and a grade or age band (we ask about age only to set the learning level — no birthdates); the messages exchanged during learning conversations; and limited technical information needed to run Dew. If a child uploads a photo, it is used only to understand the question and is not stored.
Where is my data stored — and do you use it to train AI or for ads?+
Your family's data is stored and processed in India and is never transferred outside India. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never sent to or used to train any outside AI service. Dew's tutoring and safety technology is built and owned by Rainwater Labs.
How long do you keep data, and how do I delete it?+
We keep each type of data only as long as needed and as required by law, then delete it. From Settings, you can access, export, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time.
Can Dew look things up online?+
Yes, when a general-knowledge question needs it. In those cases Dew sends only a short, privacy-protected topic — never your child's own words or personal details — and screens results to help keep them age-appropriate.
