Prohibited App Categories for Ad Campaigns
Before launching campaigns on our platform, please ensure your app does not fall into any prohibited or restricted categories. Ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and others) enforce strict rules to protect users and comply with local laws. Apps in the following categories cannot be promoted:
Prohibited App Categories
1. Gambling & Betting
- Examples: Online casinos, sports betting, poker, bingo, lotteries
- Why Restricted: Only allowed in countries where gambling is legal, with proper certification to protect users from high-risk activities.
2. Financial Services
- Examples: Payday loans, debt relief, credit repair, high-interest lending
- Why Restricted: High-risk financial products can be misleading or exploitative. Certification and regulatory compliance are required.
3. Alcohol
- Examples: Beer, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic alternatives
- Why Restricted: Advertising is restricted by age and location laws to prevent underage exposure and legal violations.
4. Tobacco & Recreational Drugs
- Examples: Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, marijuana, CBD, drug paraphernalia.
- Why Restricted: Promoting these products is illegal or heavily regulated due to health risks.
5. Sexual Content & Adult Services
- Examples: Pornography, adult dating, escort services, sexually explicit content
- Why Restricted: Prohibited to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users.
6. Healthcare & Medicines
- Examples: Prescription drugs, weight loss pills, medical devices, addiction treatments
- Why Restricted: Misleading or unsafe health claims can harm users; certifications or approvals are required.
7. Weapons, Explosives & Dangerous Products
- Examples: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, self-defense weapons
- Why Restricted: These products pose significant safety risks and are not allowed on ad platforms.
8. Shocking or Violent Content
- Examples: Graphic violence, gore, disturbing imagery
- Why Restricted: Excessively violent or disturbing content is prohibited to protect users and maintain platform safety.
9. Counterfeit Goods
- Examples: Fake luxury items, pirated software, counterfeit electronics
- Why Restricted: Violates intellectual property rights and consumer protection laws.
10. Misleading or Deceptive Content
- Examples: Fake news, misleading health or financial claims, scam apps
- Why Restricted: Prevents user harm and ensures trust in the advertising ecosystem.
11. Political Content
- Examples: Political campaigns, advocacy groups, political parties
- Why Restricted: Must comply with local election laws; some platforms restrict political ads entirely to maintain transparency.
Compliance Guidelines
Before proceeding with payment and launching campaigns, please ensure your app:
- Does not fall into any of the prohibited categories listed above
- Complies with all applicable local laws and regulations.
- Provides clear, accurate, and honest information to users
- Meets the technical and editorial requirements of the ad platforms
Non-compliance may result in account suspension and forfeiting of any balance, credits, or money paid.
